    PYRAN® PLATINUM GLASS-CERAMIC SPECIFICATIONS

    PYRAN® PLATINUM IS A SPECIALLY DEVELOPED GLASS-CERAMIC THAT FULFILLS FIRE-PROTECTIVE RATING REQUIREMENTS. THE PRODUCTION PROCESS MAY CREATE CERTAIN OPTICAL IMPERFECTIONS, SUCH AS BUBBLES OR KNOTS. SINCE THESE DO NOT GENERALLY IMPAIR THE TRANSPARENCY OR THE TECHNICAL PERFORMANCE OF THE GLASS-CERAMIC, THEY DO NOT REPRESENT CAUSE FOR REJECTION OR REPLACEMENT.

    PYRAN® PLATINUM IS THE PREMIUM TRANSPARENT GLASS-CERAMIC FIRE-RATED GLAZING. IT COMES IN THREE VERSIONS:

    1. PYRAN
    ® PLATINUM Fire-Rated Glass
    Thickness: 3/16” (5mm). Weight: 2.6 lbs/ft

    2. PYRAN® PLATINUM F (surface film) Fire and Safety-Rated Glass
    Impact/Safety Rated to ANSI Z97.1 and CPSC 16CFR1201 CAT II Thickness: 3/16” (5mm). Weight: 2.6 lbs/ft

    3. PYRAN ® PLATINUM L (laminated) Fire and Safety-Rated Glass Impact/Safety Rated to ANSI Z97.1 and CPSC 16CFR1201 CAT IIThickness: 3/8” (9mm). Weight: 4.3 lbs/ft. STC rating: ~36dB

    FIRE-RATED, IMPACT SAFETY-RATED WIRED GLASS

    Safety Glass is a ¼” (6mm) thick glazing material consisting of fire-rated wire glass with a surface applied fire-rated and impact-safety rated film. It is UL tested, classified and labeled with fire-ratings up to 90 minutes with hose stream and has impact-safety ratings to ANSI Z97.1 and CPSC 16CFR1201 (Cat. I and II). This product meets new building code requirements and is listed for use in doors, sidelites, transoms and borrowed lites.
